Shopping at home is an initiative to help the elderly and fragile people to get food and goods.
The project facilitates the contact between supply and demand made up of all traders who have made themselves available to deliver groceries to people in difficulty at home.
Born in this period of emergency, this service has seen the participation of many farms operating in the peri-urban areas of the city. For this reason, we point it out as an activity related to the themes of PROSPERA. Through this service, in fact, peri-urban farms can make themselves known and promote their activities and as well as become part of the buying habits of citizens even after the crisis.
The Municipality and the Associations of categories have moved quickly to ensure that this important service was immediately operational and have facilitated the participation of companies in the circuit.
This activity, in addition to providing a concrete response to the needs of the most fragile citizens, is an instrument for the promotion of local products and small traders operating in the urban and peri-urban areas. These small traders and farms have been flexible and fast in responding to needs of citizens in this difficult time.
