10th of May is the Birds and Trees Day all over Europe. On this occasion, Deputy Mayors of Debrecen, the INTERREG EUROPE - PROSPERA project’s Hungarian partner city, decided to place 15 bird nests in 3 residential areas.
Usually, elementary schools are in charge of organising the celebration of this day, but due to the pandemic situation, it was held in a narrow circle at the Municipality of Debrecen.
Celebrating the Birds and Trees day can contribute to prevent the loss of biodiversity, which is one of the main objectives of PROSPERA project.
