The Investments and Development Department representatives at the Office of the Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship hosted Local Stakeholders Seminar 2 (LSS2) on 28th February 2021. The meeting was part of the RESINDUSTRY project activities.
The meeting was divided into the summary and the information part. The effects of the 3rd International Interregional Meeting were discussed, also carried out remotely in October 2020, when project partners and stakeholders selected good practices, previously presented for evaluation by the RESINDUSTRY project partners. Examples of the best practices presented by the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship were reviewed. The main part of the videoconference was devoted to regional policy and European funds in Świętokrzyskie in the new financial perspective for 2021-2027.
Important assumptions in this regard were explained by Mrs Anna Kucharczyk, Deputy Director of the Department of Investment and Development. During the conference call, the subject of the RESINDUSTRY project implementation in the era of the Sars-CoV2 pandemic was discussed. The main concepts of cooperation within RESINDUSTRY and specific activities resulting from the project provisions were also developed.
The actions planned for 2021 were also presented. One of them is, among others, study visits to partner countries, which did not take place due to the restrictions introduced because of the pandemic. RESINDUSTRY is about the use of renewable energy sources in the industry. The EC report Energy consumption in the EU industry requires an appropriate mechanism to stimulate renewable energy in industry. The chief goal of RESINDUSTRY is to develop best practices towards increasing energy independence of the EU industry sector through a greater share of RES supporting production. The long-term goal is to boost industry competitiveness by lowering energy bills.
During the project, partners exchange experiences and provide knowledge on how to increase investment in renewable energy in the industry. Project Policies for renewable energy sources in the industry (RESINDUSTRY) is implemented by the Branch for Economic Promotion of the Region in the Department of Investment and Development of the Office of the Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodship as part of the Interreg Europe Programme, 3.1 Improving low-carbon economy policies.
