The main topics discussed in the scope of the local stakeholder seminar included the identification of opportunities and policy alignment potentials in the framework of renewable energy policies applied in the industrial setting.

Representation of market analysis and best practices, both in the regional and national context, served as a starting point in the dialogue aimed to leverage synergies and accelerate the pace of transition in the context of RES in industry. With this inline, the main stakeholder group involved representatives from the transport sector and equipment manufacturing who examined different approaches in overcoming key barriers which should be brought in the focus of RES policies and future planning. Energy infrastructure, sustainability considerations, immaturity and high cost of certain technologies, as well as slow acceptance rate among users, were central to the LSS discussions.
