Gozo has been the venue for the last RESINDUSTRY partners meeting, held on the 27th and 28th of April 2022, where members shared their Action Plans.
The main objective of the event was to evaluate the development of the different Action Plans and the steps taken so far.
In addition, the exchange of experience between partners had continue thanks to two Study visits to the “Magro Brothers” & “FXB group” in Xewkija.
The event was a good opportunity to gather Interreg Europe partners, from ENERSELVES and RESINDUSTRY projects.
Magro Brothers are one of our Gozo partner's Good Practice, where its main production line is the processing of tomatoes, cheese and dairy products. They have a PV installation of 1.600 panels which in 2018 had a reduction of 422 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission.
Nearby we went to FXB group, which is a furniture group involved in the manufacturing and retailing of domestic and contract furniture. Where nine subsidiary companies are wholly owned by FXB Group. The company has a wind turbine installation which is three meters in diameter, is an urban environment model designed to be completely silent and space-efficient, it is capable of generating four units of electricity.
Furthermore, the company has an installation of 334 PV panels which generate 100,2 kWp. The annual energy generated in 2018 reached almost 160 MWh which is equivalent to a reduction of 112 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
