2nd regional thematic seminar was organized on 24th November 2017 in conference room JAIP (South Bohemian Agency for Support to Innovative Enterprising) in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

There were 12 representatives from SME´s and other institutions (e.g. South Bohemian Company for HR development, APCHEM, Cracking Bits, etc.) and 4 people from team JAIP.

In the first part Tereza Píšová welcomed all participants and shortly introduced project Road CSR. In the second part the seminar was led by professional lecturer, Dr. Formánková from Mendel University in Brno. Her presentation was split into five parts – What is CSR?, CSR in SME´s, CSR legislation and standards, CSR awards and marketing, CSR implementation. The regional thematic seminar was finished by final discussion and networking.

The main purpose of the 2nd seminar was to introduce CSR topic to SME representatives and representatives from non-profit sector. In the South Bohemia there are only a few SME´s implementing CSR principles. Most of SME´s are afraid of CSR topic or they don´t understand why they should implement CSR principles (how CSR could help them in their business). That´s why JAIP invited professional CSR lecturer, Dr. Sylvie Formánková from Mendel University in Brno, Faculty of Business and Economics. She divided her presentation into five main parts (see Agenda) and introduced all of them to seminar participants. At the end of the seminar there was opportunity for questions and discussion with CSR lecturer.

Main outputs and conclusions from the seminar:
- CSR is not only for large companies
- A lot of SME´s have some CSR principles but they don´t know about them
- Implementation of CSR in SME´s cannot be realized in the same way as in large companies
- Involvement of stakeholders to implementation of CSR to SME´s is very necessary and useful.
