JAIP (South Bohemian Agency for Support to Innovative Enterprising) organized the 3rd Regional Thematic Seminar on 27th March 2018 in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic.

The seminar was attended by 11 representatives from SMEs and other institutions in South Bohemia region (e.g. CzechInvest, INPRESS, South Bohemian region, etc.), 5 people from team JAIP and 4 lecturers from South Bohemian companies.

In the first part Tereza Pisova welcomed all participants and shortly introduced project Road CSR, its completed outputs and future outputs. The second part of the seminar was dedicated to CSR legislation and practical experience with socially responsible activities of company CEZ a.s. The topic of the third part was “Also SME´s in the South Bohemian Region can be socially responsible” – chosen SME´s from Ceske Budejovice and Tabor presented their experience with social responsibility. Discussion and networking was the last part of the seminar.

Main outputs and conclusions from the seminar: 
- CSR beyond legislation is a voluntary activity 
- Legislation cannot be a difficulty of CSR implementation 
- Legislation should not be too strict – companies have to implement CSR principles because they want, not because they must 
- Companies should motivate their employees in the right way (for implementing CSR principles) 
- Company must know answer to question “WHY?” (we want to be socially responsible company, etc.).

The main purpose of the 3rd Thematic Regional Seminar was to show participants that practical implementation of CSR principles is not complicated and that it can be day-to-day company activity. Out seminar motto was “We will show you that also you can be a socially responsible company”. All lecturers were people with a lot of experience with implementation of CSR principles in their companies. Their presentations were very interesting and inspiring.
