On 28th of May 2019 the Governor of the South Bohemian Region, Ivana Stráská, granted the prizes in Regional Authority Award for social responsibility of organizations in South Bohemia Region. Business companies, non-profit organizations and municipalities were awarded for their voluntary activities in 2018 with the positive impact on society in economic, social and environmental field.
32 South Bohemian organizations entered the award in 5 categories . The Evaluation Board discussed their self-evaluation questionnaires and according to established criteria determined 3 winners in each category.
The main aim was not a competition among entering organizations, but also a sharing of positive experiences realized in South Bohemia Region and sharing of best practice of specific organizations. The Governor of the South Bohemian Region awarded the Honorable Mention to all participating companies.
The number of registered participants is sufficient proof that that the topic of social responsibility is currently important in the Czech Republic and we believe that the first year of award started a tradition for years to come.
