Emissions from the production of fossil fuel energy are a cause of climate changes. Using renewable energy and implementing of energy efficiency measures is the best way to reduce the impact of fossil fuels on our planet.
The potential of using solar energy in Romania is relatively important. In most regions of the country, annual solar energy flows exceed 1250 -1350kWh /m2/year.
The advantages of investing in such technology are almost unlimited, from the fact that the sun is an inexhaustible source of energy, to those linked to geopolitical factors, such as the energetical dependence of neighboring states.
The benefits of solar energy and the advantages of these photovoltaic systems encourages the investments in this domain, which is still in its infancy. The initial cost in this innovative technology is quickly amortized and the opportunities of funding this kind of investments, guarantee that solar parks are the future in the energy industry.
PHOTOVOLTAIK FARM URMENIS has built a photovoltaic farm at the periphery of Urmenis village, Bistrita-Nasaud county, on an area of about 4 ha, to produce electrical energy by converting sunlight energy. This transformation takes place in solar cells, which several couples form a solar photovoltaic panel, thus obtaining electricity on a surface unit.
The photovoltaic park consists of 7625 panels.
The investment is in line with the EU provisions on the sustainable development of energy resources and the improvement of the quality of life.
