The seminar and workshop on entrepreneurial initiatives in rural areas was held at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Kranj, entitled “How to tackle the challenges of today's and future - how can SMEs and local / regional authorities participate in the direction of innovative and sustainable development of our regions?” 

Regional Development Agency - BSC Kranj invited lecturers from the Faculty, the International Association of Regional Development Agencies (EURADA), the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy and Rural SMEs partners, regional stakeholders, students and other stakeholders (from national and EU levels). 

Experts talked about how SMEs and public authorities can work together towards innovative and sustainable development of our regions. Faculty students also attended the practical part of the meeting and with active participation explained first-hand, especially to foreign participants of the event, the advantages and disadvantages of studying and working in the countryside or in the capital. 

The seminar and the workshop were concluded with a guided visit to Elan d.o.o, in Begunje, Slovenia.
