During the Rural SMEs seminar and study visit on Public Support to Innovative Rural SMEs in Patras, Western Greece, Mr Konstantinos Kittas, Emeritus Professor at University of Thessaly, presented "Greenhouses and synergies with small and medium enterprises". He spoke about:
- Farmers being the founders of human civilization
- Due to climate change, the sector of agricultural will experience a devastating impact
- Cultivation will change to the form of under cover
- Examples of undercover greenhouses were presented
