Following the participation to the kick-off meeting of SHREC project that took place in Groningen during 29 – 31 of October 2019, South Muntenia Regional Development Agency from Romania organized the first meeting of the Stakeholder Group of the project. The meeting took place on November 27th, 2019 in Tîrgoviste at the premise of Dambovita County Council.

The Stakeholder Group in South Muntenia is comprising 36 organizations from both South Muntenia and Bucharest Ilfov region. The composition of the group is based on the principle of the Quadruple Helix and includes representatives of national and regional public administration (Management Authority, responsible ministries, county councils, municipalities, county environment protection agencies), academia and research, businesses and business support organizations (chambers of commerce, clusters, SMEs).

The main goal of the meeting was to present the objectives and activities of the SHREC project and to present the best practices identified during the study visit and interregional workshop organized in Groningen such as Energy Academy Europe, Energy Port Eemshaven, EnTranCe and Energy Communities such as Grunneger Power and Winsum Duurzaam.

In total 22 members of the SHREC Stakeholders Group have participated in the first meeting. SHREC project and the best practices from Groningen were presented to the stakeholders. Also, Mrs. Manuela Draghicescu has shared with the group her impressions and the group debated which best practices would be best applicable in South Muntenia.
