SOCIAL GREEN Project has attended the Policy Learning Platform Event organized by the Interreg Europe Programme on 17 and 18 October in Seville. The policy learning platform is a new initiative by Interreg Europe, aiming at promoting project results and integrating peer review and cooperation between regions. You can find out more about the platform here, and register for it.

The event focused on energy and resource efficiency and low carbon economy on the EU level.

The first day´s sessions focused on green building good practices presented by various projects. Ryan Weber, representing the Lead partner Nordregio, presented a good practice example developed by an Estonian stakeholder of Social Green project.

This good practice describes the KredEx financing scheme (combined grant and preferred loan) and presents an example of retrofitting of a large residential building using this financing scheme.

The feedback of our presentation was excellent, and many regions have expressed their intention to develop this type of financing scheme in their countries.
