Within the framework of the periodic meetings held by AGENEX with the stakeholders of the project, on Monday, November 27, a meeting was held in Seville with the heads of the Ministry of Development and Housing of the Junta de Andalucía and the Housing and Rehabilitation Agency of Andalusia, to present the main ideas and objectives of Social Green, the work done and the results obtained to date. In this meeting were also present representatives of Urvipexa, and the Directorate General of Architecture of the Junta de Extremadura, active stakeholders of the project, who already participated in the past meetings and technical visits of the project.
The aim was to share experiences and cases of good practices in the energy rehabilitation of existing social housing and in the construction of new social housing with better benefits in energy efficiency in the Andalusian region. Another aspect dealt with was the financial instruments and the specific financing lines for actions in social housing, as well as the main lines of action foreseen in the regional action plan for social housing that is currently being developed in Andalusia.
These meetings enrich the project so that actions and good practices from other regions can be adopted as examples for a better development and implementation of social housing in Extremadura.
Once the self-assessment report of the Social Green project has been prepared, the Extremadura Energy Agency is now preparing an Action Plan that will detail how the lessons learned from the self-assessment, the participation of stakeholders and the exchange of information and knowledge in the project becomes lasting results in our region. For this, meetings with stakeholders and cases of good practices are essential for the process of defining and developing the objectives and specific actions that will form the Action Plan and will help to improve and implement regional policies for social housing.
