The Croatian Green Building Council as host in cooperation with the Regional Energy Agency of the North held the sixt Local Stakeholder Group meeting within the project "Regional Policies towards Greening the Social Housing Sector" (acronym Social Green) on 30 October and 6 November, financed by Interreg Europe. Social Green addresses the issue of the social housing sector and its improvement through increasing energy efficiency.

At the 6th meeting, REA North presented the draft version of an action plan, a key document containing actions in order to improve the state of the social housing sector at local, regional and national level. Members discussed about presented actions and their implementation. They all agreed that some actions need to be realized as soon as possible for the benefit of socially vulnerable citizens (e.g. law on social housing or program for energy retrofit of family houses) and thus improvement of their health and wellbeing.

Members conclude that social housing issue is very important, but often neglected issue which needs to be tackled in order to protect our most vulnerable ones.
