Over 30 representatives from the project partner organisations, stakeholders and external experts participated in the workshop and the peer review in the two day event on 26th and 27th of September. Theme of the workshop was Business Transfer and Innovation. We heard contributions from each of the project partners regions and local experts and worked together on the topic in the afternoon.
The second day was the Kainuu region peer review. After the presentations by local stakeholders, the group made a SWOT analysis of the situation in Kainuu, which raised a vivid discussion about different challenges and strengths in the region. The low population density, the ageing population and the peripheral location of the region are all challenges that need to be overcome and, with the learning from this project, to ensure that economic life will continue to thrive in the next generation of Kainuu entrepreneurs.
