In the coordination of Fomento San Sebastian different local stakeholder meetings have been held within this period at different levels: bilateral and with multiple agents.

Two different meetings were organized with local stakeholders in the project framework, in order to receive feedback from the Policies that Fomento San Sebastian is launching with regards to International Programmes. Despite the stakeholders group had initially been addressed to SMEs, the nature of our programmes and the possibility for advanced start-ups, RTD center and universities to internationalize skills and talent, we have incorporated them in the stakeholders group. Fomento de San Sebastián has been able to create and consolidate a “mixed contrast group” conformed by members from RTD, SMEs, start-ups, education stakeholders related to the fields of Innovation, and Talent, in which UpGradeSME aims are particularly relevant.

This is a “live” group that is being constantly increased. It is essential for our city to have that core in order to make our Programmes progress.

The local stakeholders and local actors had numerous occasions to learn about internationalization initiative:

• BILATERAL MEETINGS WITH STAKEHOLDERS

• SME INSTRUMENT WORKSHOP on the 27th June 2017

Presentation about the UPGRADESME and how the project is embedded in the instruments FSS is developing within the INNOVATION and INTERNATIONAL strategy for SMEs. One of these tools is SME instrument , that allows Start-ups to broaden their horizons in terms of technology and market

• STAKEHOLDERS MEETING WITH RTDs on the 6th July 2017

• STAKEHOLDERS MEETING WITH START-UPS on the 20th July 2017

Regular meetings have taken place in the last months given the need to get feedback from the stakeholders working in the quadruple helix regarding the review of our current programmes.
