In the frame of UpGradeSME project the Municipality of Leeuwarden held several bilateral meetings with local stakeholders on the topic of internationalisation support for SMEs this semester.
The project has contributed to a new initiative which aims to set up a business centre with the single focus of helping SME’s becoming international active and exporting.
This centre - to be set up end of 2017 - is called “International Trade Services” and is an initiative of the Province of Friesland, World Trade Center, Chamber of Commerce, NHL (knowledge institution) and the Frisian export club. This centre will become the one-stop-shop for all questions SME’s have about internationalization or export.
