The middle class in Baden-Württemberg is one of the great success models in Germany. A quarter of German global market leaders are from the region. The Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum (and the Commissioner for Europe of Baden-Württemberg's Minister of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing), project partner in the INTERREG project UpGradeSME, support SMEs by offering consultation services for European funding opportunities and application procedures.
On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the SME instrument, Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum hosted a conference on the subject "Innovative ideas for the market - How small and medium-sized enterprises benefit from the SME instrument of the EU" on 30th January in Stuttgart.
