October 24th – EUROPEAN WISE EVENT
In order to maximise the learning opportunities, it was decided to dedicate the Mid-Term Event to the presentations of Good Practices (GPs). There were presenters from Andalusia and each partner region, and an interpretation service (English/Spanish/Romanian) for full understanding of complex topics tackled during the day. Over 110 participants attended, including members of the regional Community of Practice. Furthermore, it’s worth noting, the convent that hosted the event (Convento de Nuestra Señora de los Reyes) is a refurbished historical building owned by the Andalusian Regional Government and used for conferences and events.
The main message shared by partners was that the meeting represented a moment to learn and look for solutions in order to find a right balance between the past and the future of our European traditional and historical building stock.
Project partners were requested to answer these questions regarding each GP:
1) What do you remark of each Good Practice?
2) Lessons learnt from the Good Practice?
3) Do you think this Good Practice could be implemented in your region / city? Has it been included in your Action Plan?

- Architectural and Heritage value rehabilitation Programme
- Architecture Guidelines on protection and preservation of local architecture features in Dobrogea rural areas / sub regions

- Financial incentives for listed buildings – Cyprus case
- Horizonte Sevilla
- Platform “ma rénov”: a tailor-made support to reduce its energy bill
- DuMo calculation model
- Assessment techniques and energy description of existing buildings
- Life cycle assessment as a decision makeing tool for selecting building systems in heritage intervention: case study of the Roman theatre in Italica, Spain
October 25th - Partner Meeting

All partners had the opportunity to present their action plans and gather feedback from their peers. In order to support the discussion, partners worked together on the following set if questions.
The list below is integrated with more specific explanations on each question:
- Are you improving the right policy instrument?
- Are you involving all the relevant players in the region?
- What is the timeframe of your action?
- What good practices inspired you? List them!
- Who will be responsible for the action?
- Who will benefit from your action? Are you providing answers to a territorial need?
- How will you monitor your action?
- Have you estimated the costs of the activities needed to carry out your action?
- Human resources (including all activities to prepare the policy improvement)
- Equipment
- Events and meetings
- Eventual funding for beneficiaries (if policy improvement includes a call / projects, etc.)

The exchange was particularly fruitful thanks to the different roles played by partners in their regional context. Specifically, partners, who are Managing Authorities helped the Energy Agency in understanding how the management of ERDF works (reference to regulation, work modalities of the governing bodies, etc.).
Study visit
Firstly, partners had the chance to learn more about the refurbishment work done in Convento de Nuestra Señora de los Reyes, where the event took place.
Subsequently, a study visit to San Telmo was organised. San Telmo building is the headquarter of the Regional Government with examples of integration of energy and protection related matters under the same responsible person, who guided the visit sharing insights related to her work. This is leading towards putting in practice a multi-sector approach that is consistent with the VIOLET view on enhancing energy efficiency in traditional and historical buildings.
