Innovative solutions for agriculture
The aim of the project is to conduct research on expanding knowledge, obtaining and documenting information in order to develop an innovative product for preventive protection of plants in agriculture.
The project will result in a complete documentation on the components of the product, recommendations for the new product, the mechanism of its functioning. The project will establish and develop cooperation between Agro Fonds Consulting and the R+D sector by including a research unit and by purchasing a pro-innovative service leading to the development of an innovative biostimulator.
The need for the development of the solution resulted from meetings with contractors and conducted field tests
A similar biostimulator is offered in the international market, but the most frequently it is imported from India. Also in Europe there are 2-3 entities offering a similar product. Nevertheless, the offered bio-stimulator is not available exactly in this form.
Partners (manufacturers of biostimulators, adjuvants, fertilizers, distributors) may show interest in the good practice in order to improve, extend, modify or use it.

Resources needed

Regional Operational Program of the Mazowieckie Voivodship for the years 2014-2020 –
Priority Axis 1 The use of research and development in the economy. Action 1.2.. R&D activities of enterprises
Funds PLN 300 000

Evidence of success

Good practice aims at reduction of use of plant protection products - partners may be very interested in the good practice because of the “ECO” global trend i.e. reduction of chemicals, reduction of negative environmental impacts, etc.
A high innovation degree of the good practice can significantly contribute to increase in the interest of other partners in the project.

Difficulties encountered

Dissemination of the solution and its commercialization

Potential for learning or transfer

The project is implemented in cooperation with R+D sector. Can be used by other entities (on the basis of developing similar products). The project responds to problems related to difficult meteorological conditions, ensuring a broad scope of possibilities for its use globally, due to the universality of this issue.
Implementation of good practice has an impact on regional innovation policy and regional development by:
- commercialization of results of R+D works
- establishing cooperation with foreign partners
- increase in revenues from the sale of new technologies
- increasing and strengthening cooperation in innovation development processes by developing forms of cooperation in the business-science-environment relation, increasing the activeness of business entities, and intensifying scientific research works, results of which correspond to the needs of entrepreneurs.
- increasing effectiveness of support and financing of pro-innovation activities by supporting entrepreneurs
