A tool to get an overview of land use and energy system in the real laboratory Anhalt. Build your own energy system with the parameters of the region.
The energy dialogues of the Energieavantgarde Anhalt have shown, especially in a direct discussion with the citizens and in the member and stakeholder consultancy, that the opportunities for participation in the development of a forward-looking regional energy system are formally given, but are in practice complex and often unsatisfactory.
aims
With the Stemp tool for the Anhalt region, the Reiner Lemoine Institute and the Energieavantgarde Anhalt pursue the following goals:

- Identification of the values and interests of regional stakeholders.
- Activation of regional stakeholders with regard to co-shaping the energy transition in the Anhalt region.
- Improving the understanding of relationships between energy management, ecological and cultural landscape systems.
- Serious and real participation of the regional stakeholders, especially the citizens, both in the planning process and in the use of renewable energy systems.
- Ability to negotiate and make better decisions regarding the regional energy transition.
- Enable holistic planning and approval of renewable energy plants.
- Provide data and source code to facilitate the implementation of similar tools.

Resources needed

Yes. So far we have not been able to integrate the sectors (heat, mobility and CO2 emissions). This requires additional funding for data acquisition and programming.

Evidence of success

The energy dialogues of the Energieavantgarde Anhalt have shown, especially in a direct discussion with the citizens and in the member and stakeholder consultancy, that the opportunities for participation in the development of a forward-looking regional energy system are formally given, but are in practice complex and often unsatisfactory , The holistic view of the requirements and opportunities of a regional and regenerative energy system is usually missing.

Difficulties encountered

Above all, respondents in this topic see room for improvement in the depiction of the direct impact of individual regions, taking into account other requirements in land use, such as the minimum distance from wind turbines to settlements.

Potential for learning or transfer

To enable citizens and stakeholders to visually understand the energy transition in this tool. All area parameters, protected areas and interference areas are shown. Everyone can make their own suggestion as to how they want the energy transition.
