BIBA developed an interactive playroom to force the cooperation between academic, industry and civil stakeholders. Due to state-of-the-art communication technologies executed workshops and developments are venue-independent. Depending on the main goal of the cooperation, there are individual methods and approaches to do so. The core application is an industrial prototyping Design Thinking Process that is executed to specific challenges of an industrial stakeholder.

At the moment there are the following playroom scenarios: (1) “Industrial value adding solutions and design thinking” Playroom, (2) “Lean PDCA” Playroom, (3) “Idea Creator for Research projects” Playroom, (4) “Educational Didactics” Playroom.
Depending on the scenario, there are different stakeholders involved. In general, it is all about boundary-free collaborative workshops between academic, industry and civil partners. The playroom consists of scenario specific canvases that are transferred to further venues via a digital playroom twin.
