To overcome the lack of diffusion of charging infrastructure
Calabria Region aims to support the diffusion of charging infrastructure network promoting a call for tender for the installation of charging spots. This call for tender is funded by the National Infrastructural Plan for the Recharge of Vehicles powered by Electricity (PNIRE) promoted by MIT (Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport).

Evidence of success

The call for tenders ended in December 2018 with the participation of 2 Calabrian companies.

Difficulties encountered

The companies requesting the ministerial contribution are still under evaluation. The Region is trying to build an incentive path for electric cars through the installation of electric charging station. A greater economic contribution would have encouraged the participation of local companies.
