It aims to create a critical mass of adequately skilled professionals/advisors on Business Transfers, covering all aspects that may arise during the process.
Project scope has been elaborated on the assumption that: provision of assistance by specialized advisors is a key factor for the success of a business transfer attempt. The project aims to create a critical mass of adequately skilled professionals/ advisors on Business Transfers, covering all aspects that may arise during the process (business, financial, legal, psychological, etc.) and thus being able to support the total value chain of the process as independent third parties.
Its Basic Components include the development of an EU-wide training framework for advisors with diverse skills and expertise; the setting up of a credible European accreditation/ certification framework for advisors in business transfer; the establishment of a European Centre of Excellence in the thematic area of business transfers.

Evidence of success

The development of training content and web training sessions focusing on business transfers advisors (a critical milestone within the context of DANAE); At least 120 trainees from 12 EU countries participated on these sessions. Transfer of Business Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a pivotal part of DANAE results since it has strong multiplying and disseminating capabilities and a substantial contribution towards an improved environment for business transfers and quality of advisory services

Potential for learning or transfer

DANAE project teletraining platform focusing on business transfers advisors and the European Centre of Excellence in business transfer are critical in terms of creating a Trans European Training Framework for advisors with different backgrounds and skills as well as diverse know-how in business transfer. European Centre of Excellence, whereby certified professionals in the field of business transfers, accredited organisations, policy makers, academics, et al., are provided with – and assisted by – specialised resources, leadership, best practises, exchange of know-how, research, support and continuous training and improvement of skills. Performing extensive dissemination actions raise awareness among advisors, small business owners, policy makers and the wider public, with respect to the benefits of business continuity through transfer.
