Catalan partners working together to get RIS3CAT | Interreg Europe

On the 11th January, the Catalan partners of BID-REX met with other Catalan partners of Interreg Europe projects to explore synergies with RIS3CAT, the Catalan Strategy for Smart Specialization.

The event, held in Barcelona, was led by the Government of Catalonia and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and grouped Catalan partners of 11 Interreg Europe projects of all topics to exchange experiences.

The aim of the event was to look for synergies between RIS3CAT and the ERDF Operational Programme. The day was divided in two phases, the first focused on presenting linkages between Interreg Europe projects, RIS3CAT and ERDF Operational Programs. In the second phase, attendants worked in small groups to learn how existing projects are integrating the objectives of RIS3CAT at different project stages (project preparation, implementation, action plan).

The results of this event will be incorporated into the next report of RIS3CAT implementation, developed by the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
