Experts from seven European regions met earlier this month for the third workshop of the BID-REX. This interregional workshop, organised by the University of Debrecen, focused on improving data flows.

During the workshop, held in Budapest, project partners exchanged experiences on the flow of biodiversity information. The workshop was opened by the Ministry of National Development who presented on ‘EU Regional and Development Fund Supporting Biodiversity Policy Planning in Hungary’.

On the first day of the workshop all partners presented on the practices related to biodiversity information flows in their region. The presentations were then discussed in groups and summarised at the end of the workshop.

This workshop will support the BID-REX partners to develop their Action Plans. The findings will also be incorporated into a technical document which will summarise the successful practices used by project partners and will support future developments in the partner regions.
