On 6-20 November, 20 participants met in Fertőújlak at a workshop organised by the University of Debrecen's BID-REX team, the OpenBioMaps biological data system and Fertő-Hanság National Park.

The aim was to discuss biodiversity data collection and management using the OpenBioMaps system. Participants also discussed biodiversity data and information flow and how this is currently done by the seven European regions collaborating in the BID-REX project and suggestions to improve it.

Linked to this, several topics were presented and discussed, including the Hungarian Environmental Energy and Energy Efficiency Operational Programme (land use, GIS) and Citizen Observatory-Citizen Science programmes.

The workshop concluded with a site visit to Fertő-Hanság National Park.
