On 30 January, stakeholders in the Marche Region met to discuss developing an Action Plan for Phase II of the BID-REX project. The aim of the Action Plan is to increase decision makers’ awareness of how to improve environmental and financial policies for the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
The Action Plan focuses specifically on the policy instrument of the REM that will be worked on by provinces and municipalities.
This meeting, which was attended by local stakeholders including representatives from the pilot areas of the project, took place following the final interregional workshop in Ljubljana. Participants carried out a joint analysis of existing knowledge in the regional databases and considered how to enhance their use.
