In March 2019, the BID-REX partners published their final Action Plans on the BID-REX website; the culmination of three years of interregional workshops.
The BID-REX project aims to strengthen the link between biodiversity data and conservation decision-making. Since 2016, nine partners from seven European regions have met at five interregional workshops to exchange knowledge and best practices about this, and discuss regional challenges and potential solutions. These workshops covered various topics, starting from the needs of decision makers, through the available tools and methodologies and ending with impacts on policies.
The Action Plans provide details on how the lessons learnt from the workshops could be implemented in each region, in order to improve the policy instruments identified by each project partner.
The Action Plans were finalised following the final BID-REX workshop held in Slovenia in January 2019,after which partners reviewed their action plans and incorporated improvements. The partners will spend the next two years putting these plans into action.
The Action Plans are now available on the BID-Rex website
