On 13th January, The National Institute of Biology, Slovenia, held a conference on biodiversity in the agricultural landscape. Several conservation problems at Ljubljansko barje, a BID-REX pilot region, were highlighted, along with ongoing activities and aims of the project.

Representatives from several decision-making bodies were present at the conference including the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food; the Ministry for Environment and Spatial Planning; the Institute of the Republic Slovenia for Nature Conservation; and the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia. The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, mag. Dejan Židan, also attended.
