Summary
The meeting gathered local stakeholder group from Östergötland County involved in the BIGDATA 4RIVERS project.  It included representatives from the County Administrative Board, the municipalities and the water councils in the region.

Meeting Objectives
•    The objectives of this meeting were to inform the stakeholders about the goals, ideas and plans of the BD4R project.
•    To give the context about the Interreg Europe program and the possibilities it offers.
•    Furthermore, to present to the stakeholder what can be the benefit for Östergötland from the participation in the BD4R project.
•    Finally, to identify the local water management problems, room for improvement and potential good practices in Östergötland County, from the perspective of the various stakeholders involved.

Main outputs
•    The local stakeholders group is formed, and it consists of representatives from municipalities and water councils:
    o    Carl Hamilton- representative of Region Östergötland
    o    Håkan Lundberg- representative of Linköping Municipality and Stångån Water Council
    o    Stefan Wernersson- representative of Motala Municipality and Övre Motala Ströms Water Council
    o    Anna-Stina Påledal- representative of Linköping Municipality
    o    Magnus Gullstrand- representative of Nörkopping Municipality and Nedre Motala Ström and Bråviken Water Council
•    The LSG will have meetings every six months, if possible after the study visits
•    The LSG will be informed about the progress made on the project and the lesions learned in the study visits
•    The LSG will give its support to the project by:
    o    Helping to identify local problems within water management and WFD implementation in Östergötland.
    o    Propose solutions and the good practices from their experience.
    o    Give support in technical questions in their field of expertise.
    o    Opinions about the recommendation reports (to other partners), joint analytical report and action plans.
    o    Participation in meetings and study visit in Sweden, knowledge transfer seminars and interregional workshop.
•    The ideas raised by the participants about the possible areas of interest
    o    Håkan Lunfberg proposed management of the lake Roxen, in the middle of the river Motala ström, as an interesting case study.
    o    Carl Hamilton proposed Motala Ström as an area of interest - the river system that drains lake Vättern (the second largest lake in Sweden), it flows into the Baltic Sea in Norrköping. It is named from the city Motala where it begins. It is of special interest to the region.
    o    Local action plans, as in Tinnerbäcken.
