The BRIDGES project pilot action proposed the institutionalisation of transregional “access to innovation-on-demand” options as an innovation management tool supporting the RIS3 delivery in regions, eligible under RIS3 funding options. The initial potential needs analysis had indicated various fields to which this tool could apply.
In the BERRY+ S3 industrial modernisation partnership, the RIS3 Team of the Region of Western Macedonia, building also on the rationale and experience from the BRIDGES project pilot action, is considering introducing transregional access to innovation already at the EDP (entrepreneurial discovery process) stage, as a tool for regional diversification. The map below is an effort to depict this process, and one of the early methodological outputs of the BERRY+ implementation.
