One of the aims of the Bridges project is to connect research to business on the international level and to build on innovation potential of the regions involved.
In June a bilateral study visit was organised in Finland by Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council (FI) and Soča Valley Development Centre (SI) to bring together Slovenian aquaculture SMEs and National Resources Institute of Finland LUKE.
This was an opportunity to exchange information on possible future cooperation and to better know the needs and expectations from both sides. On selected locations different phases of aquaculture related research methods and procedures were presented.
The final objective is to support Slovenian SMEs by establishing of an aquaculture related center of excellence that would upgrade existing repopulation programmes of autochthonous species marble trout and adriatic grayling.
