The Institute of Bio-economy and Agri-technology (IBO) of CERTH, located in Volos, in the Region of Thessaly Greece, presented BRIDGES at the International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development (ICEIRD 2017) in Thessaloniki on 31 August – 1 September 2017.
A lot of presentations made on the event were focused on aspects linked with BRIDGES. Regional Innovation Strategies of Smart Specialization, online platforms to foster innovation, networking and entrepreneurship, innovative methodologies for new product development that are applicable in agro-food sector are few examples. Since BRIDGES works on integration of many of these aspects, it attracted attention of the audience, not only on the specific session but also in number of discussions that took place during the conference.
We have been encouraged to present BRIDGES results and outputs in the following conference or other similar event, because of its promising potential for other projects and initiatives. We have been also contacted by presenters of new technologies that provide competitive advantage to enterprises of agro food sector for creating new (differentiated) products.
