Our advisory partner Thomas Bartzanas, Research Director in CERTH (Greece), presented the BRIDGES project on Watify - AgriTech: Agriculture at the Centre of the Digital Economy, which took place on 16 – 17 May in Tuscany.
WATIFY is an awareness-raising campaign funded by the European Commission to stimulate the technological transformation of Europe’s industry.
WATIFY matchmaking events provide an opportunity for different stakeholders to meet, network and ultimately form cross-regional partnerships. The conference in Tuscany was focused on following topics :
• Challenges and opportunities of digitisation and application of advanced technologies in Agriculture.
• Latest development and trends, presentation of best practices as well as market oriented sessions.
• Inter-regional / Cross-border cooperation with a focus on developing join actions in the field of photonics in agriculture and precision farming.
The event was connected with the S3 Agrifood Platform, where some European Regional Partnerships are focusing on High Tech Farming, Big Data and traceability as well as Smart Electronic Systems.
