BRIDGES lead partner Ninetta Chaniotou (Kainnun Etu Oy) is a co-writer of an article published in European Structural and Investement Funds Jurnal called: “Baltic Sea Region-wide Research-Business Cooperation: What Benefits For Sparsely Populated Areas and Smart Specialisation?”

The article elaborates on findings of smart specialisation in view of how on-going thinking on this Europe-wide innovation experiment should be advanced on a qualitatively level.

BRIDGES is presented as a good example demonstrating the building up of an improved regional innovation system and of economy renewal process. It reflects the efforts of Kainnu and other regions to improve the effectiveness of RIS3 delivery.
