On 6 - 7 December our project advisory partner - Center for Research and Technology – HELLAS (CERTH) participated in the Kick-off Event of the Smart Specialisation Platform on Agri-Food.

The Smart Specialisation Platform on Agri-Food (S3P Agri-Food) is meant to accelerate innovation and to promote regional economic transformation through the development of new value chains.
The platform's main objective is to facilitate the creation of an investment pipeline of projects in new growth areas across the EU.

The workshop in Florence was the opportunity for regional and national authorities as well as regional actors to get together to discuss joint investment opportunities in specific thematic areas.
There are two main ways for regions to participate in the platform:
1)      Express their interest for joining an already developed concept note
2)      Propose a new topic/concept note.
