During the IE project CD-ETA additional activities (implemented October 1st, 2022 – September 30th,2023), partner 7 Association of Municipalities of the Ribera Alta Region, MANRA developed a pilot action about creating an “Interactive 3D map of Towers in la Ribera”. Using 3D models and multimedia information, this map could be seen on the web page RIBERANA https://riberana.es/val/ficha?idPatrimonio=19 offering interactive information about some of the most important historical buildings in la Ribera, this Arabic Towers from 9th-11th Century used for defensive and communication purposes.
The pilot action was developed under the coordination of CD-ETA Lead partner Euroregion Pleven-Olt. The technicians of MANRA were trained in the software knowledge to implement this application.
Since the end of the project, more than 1,000 people visited the page available in the 3 different languages it shows the information: Spanish, English and Catalan. Most people come from Spain but there were more than 20% of visitors from other countries such as United States, China, France, Italy of Belgium. Thanks to the positioning of RIBERANA and further promotion, more visitors will discover this result related to Interreg Europe CD-ETA project, a way to put digitalization techniques at disposal of the Culture preservation and dissemination of Heritage.
