Between 17 and 19 of October 2017 in Skofja Loka, Slovenia was held the third CD-ETA seminar on topic “Digitization of intangible cultural heritage“.
Why exactly in Skofja Loka?
Because Passion play, which is part of the traditions of Slovenia, is the only so far intangible cultural heritage of the country included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Traditionally, as at any such event, the partners presented the state of digitization in their countries, shared good practices and existing problems.

The I-treasures project as a practice was included in the presentations of the Greek and Spanish partners. On this occasion, Oscar Gimenez noted, "If it is presented in two presentations, I-treasures certainly is a good practice"
There were presented three more good practices related to the theme of the seminar - Slovenian National Register of intangible cultural heritage, a practice of restoring and preserving the traditional Croatian boat Batana and mobile application developed by NEXTO - The Path of Passion Play. The application can be downloaded from Gogle play - NEXTO.
The participants in the seminar had the opportunity to be the first to test this application. With phones and cards in hand, they passed the route of the procession.
Impressive was the engagement of the mayor of the small town with our project. "For Skofja Loka this is a chance to become a popular tourist destination. Welcome in 2021 here, when we will celebrate the 300th anniversary of the first handwritten book in Slovenian language. "
