The CISMOB partners are happy to share the success of this event which has gathered many high-level policymakers and stakeholders of the mobility sector. On the 29th, the partners participated in the Thematic Conference focused on measures for Sporting Resilience of Public Transport using ITS. The partners and stakeholders presented and discussed several good practices and mobility applications. Additionally, important local stakeholders and decision-makers reviewed new perspectives for funding sustainable mobility projects in the next EU funding framework.

In the afternoon, the partners participated in the capacity-building workshop on ITS solutions implemented or identified in public transport. In a session moderated by Mihai Nicolesco from ITS Romania, Célia Laranjeira from Águeda Municipality (Portugal) and Martín Rodriguez from Badajoz County Council shared challenges and best practices related to E-mobility and ICT applications in Agueda and Badajoz.

 Mr Jorge Bandeira from University Aveiro, Portugal, conducted an interactive session Assessment of mobility platforms in Bucharest with the MultiDiMaaS Indicator, and Geanina Suditu from TPBI Direction made an overview of ITS Systems in the Bucharest region. Aron Larsson from Advisory partners Stockholm University addressed the importance of regional planning focused on accessibility.

On June 30th, after a Steering Group Meeting, stakeholders visited TPBI headquarters and the various Bucharest Public Transport Management Centre departments.

The following key messages must be retained

 

1) Integration of services, information and payment systems is vital to improve network efficiency and resilience.

2) There are several possibilities of using electric mobility systems as complementary services to the main public transport network.

3) Interregional cooperation is an asset for the financing of sustainable mobility projects
