The CISMOB team from University of Aveiro have participated at the 14th national meeting on transportation (Grupo de estudos em transportes) which took place in the city of Fátima, located in CENTRO region of Portugal, on the 20th and 21st of February.

Jorge Bandeira presented the general objectives of the CISMOB project, Pavlos Tafidis contacted various stakeholders and has stressed the work developed in the Baseline assessment report. João Teixeira presented a technical paper related to the potential of using Floating car Data to estimate road CO2 emissions in real time. 

Several researchers from universities in the central region and heads of energy agencies have shown interest in joining stakeholder meetings in the central region and highlighted the necessity of mobilizing policymakers to increase investment in sustainable mobility projects based on ICT rather than in new road infrastructures. 

Researchers from the University of Aveiro, University of Coimbra and Polytechnic Institute of Viseu have demonstrated that the application of ICT in the transport sector is a hot topic for the R&D community of the Portugal CENTRO region.
