The conference proceedings will be a volume in the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series in the ACM Digital Library (http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=2910674). Authors will have the option to extend their PETRA'17 papers after the conference and submit them as journal papers at the Technologies Journal (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/technologies/special_issues/10th_PETRA). All journal papers will be published with fees waived, in Open Access form.
The main focus of this workshop includes providing answers to the following key challenges:
(1) How can we build an environmentally sustainable ecosystem whilst providing seamless experience in smart mobility?
(2) How can data science, IoT, and data management technologies be exploited for innovative solutions within the areas of smart cities and smart mobility?
(3) How can ICTs enhance citizen engagement and influence decision makers when launching smart city initiatives?
The paper submission deadline for workshops is March 17, 2017 [EXTENDED]. The workshop SoCIaL co organized by University of Aveiro and Stockholm University can be of special interest for the research field on transport and smart mobility.
