"AMTB go ahead with the project CISMOB
Bucharest Metropolitan Transport Authority (AMTB) hosted at the beginning of the second meeting with regional actors interested in the project with European funding CISMOB - Cooperative Information Platform for Low Carbon and Sustainable Mobility. The project is funded by Interreg Operational Programme Europe of European Regional Development Fund, and consosrtiu alongside Romania, Portugal also includes entities (project coordinator), Sweden, Spain.
The meeting was attended by representatives RATB, Bucharest of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Association for Metropolitan Mobility, transport specialists, IT, business representatives and academics.
CISMOB purpose is to generate policies at national, regional and local level, harmonized at European level on reducing carbon emissions in public transport. The project also will develop recommendations for implementing these policies in Romania.
The meeting was successful, generating a real debate between representatives of participating public and private entities. Most of those present expressed their willingness to be part of the group CISMOB, which will be consulted and involved in developing an action plan on influencing policies to reduce carbon emissions in transport."
