On the 21st December 2020, a submission was made on behalf of the Louth Age Friendly Alliance, the Louth Older Peoples’ Forum and the Louth EU_SHAFE partner, to the review of the County Louth Draft Development Plan which is currently taking place. The Development Plan is the local iteration of both EU and National policies across a range of services including; housing, social and community and; economy and employment.
The submission sought to underpin and advance the Age Friendly agenda in Louth and made both general and specific recommendations on implementing Age Friendly policies across all services in County Louth. The overall aim of the submission is to create in Louth, a county were people can live, work, visit and retire to safe in the knowledge that the county provides for everyone regardless of age.
