The project manager, Mrs. Gheorghiţa Vrinceanu, reiterated that the HERICOAST project is a sustainable alternative in terms of restoring and preserving heritage objectives and including them in a zoning regeneration plan. In this respect, the Tulcea County Council, through constant institutional efforts, obtained the ownership right of the Old Sulina Lighthouse, a stage followed shortly by the elaboration of the Technical Documentation necessary for the rehabilitation of this objective. Through these efforts, according to the project's objective, Tulcea County Council aims to improve the policies for accessing the non-reimbursable funds from the European Union programs aimed at capitalizing and preserving the coastal cultural heritage.

The meeting participants concluded that the project implementation is based on a new model of work, based on an understanding of the good practices identified in the partners involved, and this generates consistency in validating common solutions for the conservation of patrimonial objectives in the coastal zone.
