On 12 of July 2018, the HERICOAST management team organized the last meeting of the stakeholders involved in the project, in Lunca locality in Tulcea County, during which the participants were presented the activity report of the first phase of the project. Pitoresque features specific to the coastal area, combined with unique Danube Delta objectives, provided a good framework for debates and dissemination on the progress of the HERICOAST project and the implications it generates at the county level.

The event was attended by stakeholders from the traditional localities involved in the project - Sarichioi, Jurilovca, Tulcea, but also partners of key institutions - ICEM Tulcea, Tulcea Municipality (Mayorship) and, last but not least, Tulcea County Council Vice President, Mr. Petre Badea. His speech highlighted the influence of the HERICOAST project on other similar projects within the national or cross-border operational programs, emphasizing the importance of the experience gained from the implementation of the first phase and how this must be transferable for other future projects so much needed in the region.

At the final, during the Q & A session, the participants were curious about the next provisioned steps, especially how the activities of the Regional Action Plan will be carried out in the next phase. In this sense was presented a draft of the action plan, information about its elaboration, the best practices from which it was inspired, the challenges that have been encountered were briefly presented, more details being planned for presentation in the forthcoming event in August.
