The Institute of Business Development of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (IDERAM), partner in the HoCare projet, as part of it’s monitoring strategy of the defined Action Plan, details the actions envisaged of three good pratices:

ACTION 2 – ITHEALTH PROJECT (based on the GRACE, SPERO, PSIPROF and WEBNURSE GP)

ITHealth Projet”, based on the Good Practices of “Grace”, “Spero” and “Webnurse”, is fully under way. The proposed Consortium for the new projet has been formally formed, being lead by the IT SME “Wowsystems” in close partnership with the University of Madeira, ARDITI (Innovation&Tecnology Agency of Madeira) and SME “Psiprof”.

Following a pure Quadruple-Helix approach, those partners worked together to come up with an innovative projet that focus on the design of new home care technologies and it’s impact. The projet was submitted to EU funding regional scheme “Prociência2020” and after careful analysis by third-party experts, has been approved with a starting date set to the 1st January 2020 and end-date estimated to the 31st December 2021 with a total investment of 538.475,54€ and a given grant of 333.466,81€.

ACTION 3 – SUAVE PROJECT

Regarding the Good Practice “SUAVE” - identified during the HoCare – the project has come to a successful end. This project brought together an madeiran IT SME, an R&D Centre “ARDITI” and another SME dedicated to psychology services “Psiprof”, as well as the “Regional Unit Against Dependencies”.

The project lasted for 18 months, ending on the 30th November 2019 and  therefore obtain an estimate of 70.029,30€ (total budget is 420.175,8€) as it’s  considered one of the 5 main activities + another slice for indirect of which around 50.420€ is directly supported by the ProCiencia2020 program (grant total 262.863€).

This project represented a good example of the quadruple-helix approach, of how several actors (public and private) could work and learn together for a better outcome.
