On december 2:nd 2019 a stakeholder Work Shop with about 15 stakeholders was carried out in North Middle Sweden. In the WS representatives were participating from Universities, Clusters, DIH, Regions and The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth a government agency under the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation. The workshop was organized by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and is part of INTERREG Europé project INNO Industry, and aimed at assessing strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities for further improvement.
The workshop focused on support for digitalization in several dimensions and used SWOT-methodology for process and documentation as well as identifying best practices. When workshop’ing the subject of digital support and solutions, the process itself and participation was partly digital. The SWOT was performed in real life (IRL) and in cyber (SKYPE) at two separate trails. Also the cyber trail turned out to be very effective and generated good high level discussions!
The workshop identified very strong focus on digital transformation of industry on national and regional level, both on political and operational levels. At the same time there is a gap between big and small companies as well as lack of national coordination and the communication between the different actors in the innovation system is low. The participants are looking forward to further develop regional cooperation and to look into best practicies.
