Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and travel restrictions and in hope of a personal meeting we kept postponing the date of our 5th Transnational Thematic Meeting but by the end of summer we had to accept that during 2020 unfortunately this will not be feasible. Instead of welcoming all our partners and stakeholders in Budapest, Hungary we organized a virtual TTM on 3-4 November 2020.

During the first day the main focus was on the thematic issue “Market price assessment methodologies”. First the project manager on behalf of Ministry of Finance (MoF) Hungary introduced the topic to the partners and other participants. The various price control mechanisms throughout a project life cycle, a variety of price controls tools used by the Managing Authority at the MoF Hungary and the challenges encountered regarding these tools were presented in detail. Afterwards the project partners reflected on the topic and expounded their market price assessment methodologies used through the life cycles of Industry 4.0 related calls for proposals and projects.

The second day of the event started with a discussion on development of the good practices. Than the progression and current tasks of action planning was on the table. Last, but not least the Steering Committee meeting was held. Project partners reviewed the project progress and agreed on the extension of Phase 1 and shortening Phase 2 by one-one semester to mitigate the negative effects of COVID on project implementation.

All in all the 5th Transnational Thematic Meeting was a good opportunity to go on with the project implementation, to identify the next steps and review the tasks to be carried out by all the partners in the coming months.
